DR DAVID COWEN WILL BE RETIRING AT THE END OF JUNE
DR COWEN HAS WORKED AT THE SURGERY FOR 42 YEARS AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY PATIENTS AND STAFF ALIKE.

To use the SystmOnline service, you will need to come to the practice to request a user name and password from the reception team . Proof of identity must be brought with you when registering e.g. utility bill, drivers licence, or passport. You cannot register for this service online because your identity needs to be verified.
Please be aware of the following when booking online appointments:
Dressings: Nurse 1 slot (15 min apt)
Child Imms: Nurse 1 slot (15 min apt)
Smears: Nurse 1 slot (15 min apt)
bloods: Nurse / Phlebotomist 1 slot (15 min apt)
Travel: Nurse - Travel advice - please book double appointment (30 mins)
Medicals Doctor - All medicals require 30 minutes (3 x 10 min slots)
Checks Nurse - Double appointments (30 mins) for Diabetes, Asthma COPD/Spirometry, Epilepsy, Ear Syringing

The CQC inspection team carried out announced comprehensive inspection of Northfields Surgery on 9th February 2016. Overall our practice is rated as GOOD

Hard of Hearing?
We have been working with the PPG on the Sign Health Report and have agreed to provide the following service and will be working on further advancements in the New Year.
- Practice will ask the question when consulting with Deaf / hard of hearing patients – a pop up note would then be added to the notes so all clinicians / admin staff would know the patient’s condition.
- Double appointment can be booked
- Clinicians/Nurses to come out and collect patient rather than them having to rely on Jayex board
- We will take on board that a family member should not be asked to interpret
